The Results Series for realtor.com®

As an interactive designer at realtor.com®, my job primarily consists of supporting the B2B team — and specifically the events team.  The realtor.com® Resultsseries is a set of website designs created to promote webinars and live events hosted by the nationally known real estate company. The goal was to use today’s best (and most practical) marketing technologies to help agents plan for upcoming events.

Beyond informing realtors of upcoming events, the Resultsseries is web-based platform that allows realtors to educate others and share their own experiences. This is also an online space that lets agents stand out, grow their market share, and crush their business goals. This is about actionable strategies.

Designing the Results series pages was a great opportunity to explore design techniques and collaborate with an amazing group of professionals.

Steps of Creating the ResultsSeries

The first step of creating the Resultsseries was to understand how its intended audience will get the most value out of its use. This led to a number of questions (and answers) that came forth in collaborative meetings with project managers.

Secondly, it was decided that the project should have actionable goals that will deliver the most impact and move the organization forward.

The third step (or component) of this project was to gain a deeper understanding of the audience, who will ultimately help the organization achieve its stated goals. By understanding their needs and goals, these tasks can then be successfully performed with routine precision.

The fourth step was to create a marketing message and design that would motivate audiences to further engage with the organization.

The Events Calendar Page

After analyzing the four main milestones of this project I went about creating a visual style based on brand guidelines and the organization’s stated goals. Truly getting involved with realtor.com’s game plan meant that an easy-to-read calendar needed to be create. Once a visitor arrives at the calendar page, they are greeted by a modern grid design and highly legible typography. This design is also meant to be responsive and particularly suited to mobile users.
